Summer Voice Classes from Chorale Bel Canto

    Calling All Singers!

     

     CBC invites you to participate in Voice Classes this summer.
     

    Who: All singers interested in improving their vocal production
     
    What: Four ninety-minute group classes taught by voice instructor and CBC singer and frequent soloist, Michael Fausto
     
    When: Monday evenings, 7:00pm-8:30pm, on July 10, 17, 24, and 31
     
    Where: First Friends Church, Fellowship Hall, 13205 Philadelphia St., Whittier 90601
     
    Cost: $15 per singer per class, paid by cash or check at the class or ahead. You may attend any or all sessions. Please arrive a few minutes early to pay.

    Class Content
     
    July 10 - Back to Vocal Basics - Intro and Refresher on Vocal Technique. Covering Proper Posture, Breathing, Resonance, Efficient Mouth Shape, Practice and Performance Etiquette. Masterclass activity towards the end of class.

    July 17 - Wonders of the Aging Voice - Our bodies change every day! Covering techniques and exercises to protect the aging voice, topics on bodily changes from young to golden adulthood, and orienting our expectations for the future.

    July 24 - Vocal Body, Mind, and Soul - Quick course on the parts and mechanisms of the vocal tract and breathing coordination. Learning how to prepare your instrument for practice and performance.

    July 31 - Choir Bootcamp OR Style Exploration
    Choir Bootcamp - Choir is the Ultimate Sport! Open your senses and learn to blend, phrase, and work as a team. This class will cover individual and group responsibilities, skills, and expectations. Know your inherent rights and worth in our choral community.

    Style Exploration - Stuck in a certain style? This class will cover the differences between early music, classical, romantic, musical theater, pop, and jazz through understanding our voice and utilizing our resonance spaces.



    Michael Fausto, Tenor, completed his MM Vocal Performance degree from CSU Fullerton School of Music and BA Music degree from the University of La Verne. Accomplished in sacred works, he has been a featured tenor soloist in numerous masterworks.  Currently, he is tenor section leader at the Neighborhood Unitarian Universalist Church in Pasadena. Michael is experienced as a middle and high school vocal director, vocal coach, and choral conductor. He is an active private voice instructor and YouTuber and enjoys collaborations as composer and performer of both classical and modern music.
